Magnetic Levitation Planter
A technically and visually striking project where electromagnetic levitation and product design come together in a working prototype.
August 2024
Project Description
The Magnetic Levitation Planter keeps a small plant container floating above its base through active electromagnetic control. Hall sensors measure vertical position and drive a coil that provides constant stabilization via a closed-loop controller.
The project includes a custom-designed PCB, programmed with embedded firmware in C++. The construction is designed in SolidWorks and focused on minimalist, modern design. Sensor filtering and precise PID control ensure smooth stability.
This levitation planter is both technically impressive and visually appealing. It combines control engineering, sensor fusion and embedded systems in a project suitable for education, interior design and tech-art.
