The Sketch to Render workflow showcases the complete product lifecycle from initial hand-drawn concept to photorealistic 3D visualization. For this project, I transformed a rough client sketch into a technical SolidWorks CAD assembly, ensuring every dimension was manufacturable before proceeding to high-end rendering.
The process starts with a conceptual sketch to capture the core idea. I then build a precise technical CAD model, defining exact material properties, mounting interfaces, and internal volumetric constraints. Finally, in the rendering phase, I apply studio lighting, realistic pbr textures, and optical reflections to create a visual that is indistinguishable from a physical product photoshoot.
What stands out in this process is how visualization changes project momentum. High-fidelity renders move stakeholders from "understanding the concept" to "wanting the product," providing a powerful tool for marketing, prototyping, and investment pitches.
