Do you choose edge ML or cloud solutions?
That depends on your use case. Edge ML on embedded hardware is ideal for low latency, offline operation or privacy-sensitive data. Cloud pipelines scale better with large datasets and complex models. I advise which approach fits best and can implement both.
What data do I need to start with machine learning?
It varies by goal. I help with a data inventory, setting up annotation workflows and determining minimum dataset size. Sometimes a small, well-labelled dataset is enough for a proof-of-concept.
Do you integrate ML models with existing industrial systems?
Yes. I connect models to existing infrastructure via APIs, MQTT, databases or direct PLC/MES integration. This makes predictions and insights part of your daily process, not a standalone experiment.
Do you build dashboards for non-technical users?
Yes. Besides training models I design clear dashboards that give operators and managers direct insight into process data, predictions and anomalies. No data science background required to use them.
Do you work remotely on data science projects?
Yes, data science and ML projects are typically fully remote. Based in Aalten in the Achterhoek, I work with manufacturing companies and tech businesses across the Netherlands, with regular alignment via video calls.
