SmartLamp PCB

Compact RGBW controller with integrated power conversion and wireless IoT management.

PCB Design ESP32 Power Electronics IoT Development

The SmartLamp PCB is a highly integrated driver board designed to control professional RGBW LED strips via the ESP32 platform. Versatility is the core of the design, supporting both 5V and 12V strips with a physical hardware toggle. It also features analog potentiometer overrides for manual control, providing a fail-safe backup for wireless signals.

Integrated power management includes a Li-Ion charging circuit (TP4056/TP4057) with USB-C input and a high-efficiency boost converter that steps battery voltage up to the required LED rail. The board supports up to 12W of continuous LED power, fitting for accent lighting and architectural modules alike.

With its shape-optimized layout and robust protective circuitry (PTC fuses, thermal shutdown), it is a field-ready solution for custom smart lighting and embedded HMI projects.

Who is this for?

This SmartLamp PCB is a good fit for anyone looking for a compact, ready-made foundation for smart lighting. That includes makers and product developers who want to build their own lighting product without designing all the electronics from scratch, as well as installers who want to control accent lighting or architectural LED modules remotely. Because the board supports both 5V and 12V strips and can run on battery power, it works equally well as a standalone, wireless light object or as a permanently installed fixture.

What makes it special?

What stands out is how much functionality is packed onto one small board. USB-C charging, the conversion to the correct LED supply voltage, and wireless control via ESP32 all live within the same compact design, backed up by manual buttons that take over whenever the wireless connection drops. Combined with the built-in protection against short circuits and overheating, that makes the board just as suitable for a simple mood light as for a demanding installation that runs for long periods.
